Kyiv

Kyiv or Kiev is the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, the city is located in the north central part of the country on the Dnieper River, it is one of the oldest and beautiful cities in Europe. It was founded more than 1500 years ago, today Kyiv is a bustling modern city with booming industries and excellent infrastructure.

• Museums: Kyiv has a rich history glimpse of which can be seen at museums of Kyiv like the National Art Museum of Ukraine, National Museum of the Great Patriotic War and more. These museums are rich in exhibits and artifacts.
• St Andrew’s Church: The Saint Andrew’s Church is a major church constructed in 1747–1754 and since then it has under gone repairs many a times. the church is located in Kiev (Kyiv), it is one of four architectural landmarks of Ukraine, it is situated on a steep hill to which the church gave its current name Andriyivska Hill.
• Kiev Zoo: Kiev Zoo was founded in 1908, the zoo is located in the center of the city and occupies the territory of 40 hectares, the zoo has over 2000 different species including the rare ones like Amur tiger, bison and Przhevalsky horse, the zoo houses all kinds of animals like mammals, birds, snakes, fishes and insects.
• Monastery: Kyiv has some architecturally magnificent and important Monastery, the major ones being St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery and St. Cyril’s Monastery, St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery is located on the Western side of the Dnieper River.
• Mariyinsky Palace: Mariyinsky Palace is the official ceremonial residence of the President of Ukraine, it was completed in 1752 and is situated on the hilly bank of the Dnieper River.

Odessa

Odessa is the fourth largest city in Ukraine also referred to as the “Pearl of the Black Sea”, the city is a major seaport on the Black Sea, also the largest port in Ukraine. Odessa is famous for it’s historical architecture which has been influenced by French and Italian styles, Odessa is a great destinations for travelers because of it’s Odessa’s mild climate, warm waters and sunlit beaches.

• Opera and Ballet House: One of the major tourist attractions in Odessa is the Odessa Opera and Ballet House, it is one of the most beautiful theaters in the world with great architecture, the theater is graced with a chandelier that weights almost two and a half tons.
• Potemkin Steps: Potemkin Steps are the legendary staircase, the steps were completed in 1841 and it took four years to build, when one stands below the steps, all one can see are the steps which is an optical illusion.
• Primorskiy Boulevard: Primorskiy Boulevard is located directly atop of Potemkin Steps, it is a picturesque Boulevard, one can just relax by taking a leisurely here.
• City Hall: The City Hall building is located south on Primorskiy boulevard, it is a historic building located in front of a monument to Alexander Pushkin, which is considered by many to be Russia’s greatest poet.
• Archeological Museum: Archeological Museum is a great place to learn about ancient history of Northern Black Sea regions, it has a great and large collection of information sources, a Statue of Laocoon marks the entrance of the Archeological Museum.
• Deribasovskaya Street: Deribasovskaya Street is a famous street, made famous by numerous films and songs sequences shot over here.
• Arkadia: Arkadia is a place in Odesa where the fun is, Arkadia is where Odessa’s Nightlife and beach activities are in the summer months, it takes 15 minutes from the centre of the city in a cab, the place is filled with restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs and of course, a lovely stretch of sand and sea.
• Privoz: Privoz is an enormously sized outdoor / indoor market, a good place to see Odesa’s culture, a good destination for adventurous types.

Lviv

Lviv is a major city in western Ukraine, the is a major center for trade and culture, the city has many industries and institutions of higher education such as the Lviv University and the Lviv Polytechnic, also the city center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lviv is rich in culture and history and hence Lviv has many an interesting museums namely Museum of Religion, National Museum, Lviv History Museum, Pharmacy Museum, Brewery Museum, Open Air Museum of Folk Architecture, Natural History Museum, The History of Printing Museum, Museum of Metrology, Panchyshyn Museum of the History of Medicine and Museum of Embroidered Icons. Lviv also have some architecturally magnificent palaces such as Lviv High Castle, Lubomirski Palace, Venice Palace, Zuchorowicz’s Palace, Olesko Castle and more. There are also many religious sites in Lviv which may fascinate visitors like the Latin Cathedral, St. George Cathedral, Armenian Cathedral, Dormition Cathedral (Orthodox), The Dominican Cathedral, The Bernardine Monastery, Boim’s Chapel – an architectural marvel all made of black stone, St.Yura Cathedral and more.
