Podgorica

Podgorica is the capital and largest city of Montenegro; it is also the economic and cultural capital of the country. The city is situated on the banks of six rivers and is close to winter ski centers and also to Skadar Lake and a national park. Also the city has many attractions like Millennium Bridge, Monument to King Nikola, Hristovog vaskrsenja and more.

• Stara Varoš: Stara Varoš is an old neighborhood in Podgorica; it is an old Turkish town with a mosques and old clock tower and with narrow curvy streets.
• King Nikola’s castle: King Nikola’s castle has been now turned into a museum; the castle has beautiful architecture and if one is a fan of castles and museums then the King Nikola’s Castle will be quiet a treat.
• Podgorica Museum: The Podgorica Museum was founded in 1950, it is a good place to explore Podgorica’s rich heritage. The museum has four categories namely archaeological, ethnographic, historical and cultural-historical.
• Churches & Monasteries: Podgorica has some beautiful churches and monasteries like the Church of St. George, Episcopal Church in Doljani, Celija Piperska Monastery, Dajbabe Monastery and Zlatica Monastery.
• Doclea: Doclea was founded in the first decade of the 1st century AD, here one can find remains of public buildings dating from Roman times: triumphal arches, temples – one dedicated to the Goddess Roma, a second to the Goddess Diana, public baths – thermal springs and an impressive residential palace and more.
• Medun: Medun also sometimes known as Meteon is situated 13 km north-east of Podgorica, the place dates back to ancient times, originally it was built as a fortress, but later, between the 6th and 3rd century BC, became a town. Today the place has an old Town and Fortress and it’s long and rich history.

Budva

Budva is a coastal town in Montenegro often called as “Montenegrin Miami” as it is the most crowded and most popular tourist resort in Montenegro, Budva is 2,500 years old which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the coast of the Adriatic sea but today Budva is known for it’s great beaches and vibrant nightlife. The Budva coast is among the most beautiful coasts in the world.

• Beaches: Budva has some secluded beautiful beaches like the Mogren beach, secluded beach near the old town and more, one can also enjoy diving trips in Budva.
• Island Sveti Nikola: Clear Sea, blue skies, the sun, lovely water and the smells and tastes of the Mediterranean, this is what Island Sveti Nikola is about, one-day trip to the island offer you swimming, researching, the island is also full of deers, rabbits, roe deers and birds.
• Petrovac: Petrovac is a very nice little place at about half the way from Budva to Bar, the town has clean sea and the wonderful beaches, the beach Lucice during the summer is full of visitors.
• Ethnographic Museum: The museum is situated in the center of the Old town, the museum has some good exhibits and it is a good place to learn about Budva’s history.

Kotor

Kotor is a beautiful, secluded town in Montenegro, it is a coastal town located on the Gulf of Kotor, the scenery around Kotor is awesome and hence seen a steady increase in tourists in recent years, the town in developed around the old city which is a world heritage site certified by UNESCO. The city also has other attractions such as Churches, museums and more. The old town is the must see destination in Kotor, it is designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO, the old city was built between the 12th and 14th century, the place has beautiful medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage. The walls of the ancient fort stretch some 4.5 km above the city, one can climb up the walls to get a magnificent view of Kotor. The St Triphon’s cathedral was built in 1166 and is located in the heart of the old town; the St Triphon’s cathedral is the most impressive church in the town.
