    Rio de Janeiro

    This remarkable monument was built as a tribute to the founder of Brasilia, Juscelino Kubitshek, in the year 1980.The President’s remains is placed on the second floor, beneath a skylight in a granite tomb. JK’s medals, suits and ribbons can also be found in this monument. Interesting stuff about Brasilia like old photographs taken during construction, rejected plans, etc makes the visit to this memorial worthwhile.

    Palacio do Itamaraty
    The Placio do Itamaraty now serves as the reception hall for the Foreign Affairs Department .It is the one of the most exquisite modern buildings with a landscape to match. Antique artifacts, Persian rugs, intricately carved furniture and 18th century paintings give the structure a majestic look.
