Tirane

Tirana is the capital of Albania and it is situated on the Ishm River i.e. on a plain rich in water and forests. Tirana is the economic, industrial and cultural centre of Albania, Tirana was founded by Turks in 17th century and originally named Teheran to commemorate an Ottoman victory in Persia.

Et’hem Bey Mosque
Et’hem Bey Mosque is an attractive mosque right on the city’s main square, construction of the mosque was started in 1789 and it was finished in 1823, the mosque was closed until January 18, 1991, the mosque reopened as a house of worship in 1991.

Grand Park
Grand Park is situated in the southern part of the city and extending over an area of 55 hectares you can find many a variety of plants, decorative shrubs and flowers in here.
Tanners’ Bridge

Enver Hoxha Pyramid

Skenderbeg square

Skenderbeg square is right in the city centre, where there is a statue of the national hero Skenderberg who fought off the Turks in the 15th century is located. Skenderbeg square remains the very center of Tirana as Skenderberg was a national hero.

Fan Noli Statue
Fan Noli (1882 – 1965) was one of Albania’s most revered historical figures. Educated at Harvard, he also served as prime minister in 1924, the statue is roughly more than 3m tall.
